Yes y’all I am a LIER, there ya have it! I just lied my way through court and that rude Atticus knew I was. Mary and Joseph he was questioning me with these big words that I didn’t even understand! I was so confused and scared. Daddy made up this silly story that was to hide his mistake and he told me I must obey and stick with the story. Every time that Atticus guy said something I forgot everything I was suppose to say! I knew this was a bad idea y’all and I really didn’t want to do it but my father is a very scary man. I just want out of this dumpy house and start a new life with a nice gentleman, like Tom. Yes, I asked Tom to come to the house because I have a huge crush on him but daddy would never approve, so I had to find away to be alone with him. I just don’t want daddy to be mad and start throwing’ fists and all. I am getting good at dodging those cannons but this time I swerved right into it and he punched me straight in the eye. Yes, y’all I lied under oath but I had to or my daddy would take me into the woods and beat me till I was all bruised up. I know I am doing an awful thing to Tom but if I want to live to my 19th birthday I got to keep my daddy happy! Y’all let me tell you something, don’t lie like I am doing it is bad and it is an awful thing to do! Just be up front and tell people the truth. I wish I could do that. Oh…ohh gosh daddy is home yelling my name…where can I hide? I guess I can’t I will just have to face that fists. I just pray he doesn’t hurt me to back cause I must go to court again tomorrow!
